Experience Joyful Living Nutrition Counseling

Recovery and Freedom from Dieting

The greatest joy can be found in addressing disordered eating or finding relief after years of chronic dieting. My name is Kelley Borton, and I became a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist because I believe that full recovery from an eating disorder is possible, even in our current society that is seeped in diet culture and anti-fat rhetoric.

I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Central Michigan University back in 2008. After several years in the work force, I decided to complete my Master's of Public Health in Dietetics at the University of Michigan, where I dedicated my studies to understanding more about the relationship between our current food environment and disordered eating. I am currently working on finishing a PhD in Nutritional Sciences where I focus my studies on learning more about how social media is associated to disordered eating and weight stigma.

I have advanced training in both intuitive eating and motivational interviewing, and I would love to help you figure out how to build a better relationship with food and your body. My practice is Health at Every Size informed and I welcome clients of all ages, genders, race/ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities, and body sizes. My goal is to help you determine what health and recovery will look like for you!

My approach is very collaborative and I am more than happy to communicate with your other health professionals, such as therapists, physicians, psychiatrists, etc.

I am looking forward to hearing from you!
